Smoking Mouse was approached this week with a challenge that we've not handled before. We were asked to facilitate a complete standard website with hosting and DNS registration in less than 24 hours. Guess what? We delivered.
Albeit our smallest website to date, it was a bit of a challenge. We didn't have much information on the restaurant and were given very little to go on. Instead of focusing on the features of the restaurant, we focused on what we knew. We had info on the head chef and the menu. The end result is a site that encompases the experience and flavor of dining in Italy. We can't wait to try out their delicious creations!

The partners of Hameline & Eccleston, LLP approached us in Januaray 2009 with a need that we've seen many times. They had no corporate identity, no brand recognition. As oil and gas law specialists, we determined that the best approach would be to start with a clean slate on all design ideas. This was our first shot at representing a law firm and our only instructions were to keep it simple and stay away from the color red.
Our research found that law practiced in the corporate world demanded a clean, corporate feel in it's brand. We began with several logo proofs and it was decided that this simple "H&E" impression worked best. The partners were concerned with potential clients getting hung up on the pronounciation of their names, so we simply shortened it to their initials for ease of reading and identity.
Once the logo was decided upon, everything else just fell into place. The business cards and letterheads were created next with a simple layout. The website followed suit with a very simple navigation and useable layout.

Owners Coach Joe Avezzano and son, Tony, are our longest running clients. Last year, Tony approached me about updating their look to reflect a rock-n-roll attitude for this Lewisville landmark sports bar.
We were given carte-blanch on the updating and really took an indepth look at their clientele and performance acts when deciding what direction to go. What we ended up with is an in-your-face brand that incorporates the establishment's zest for sports with a little Texas Red-Dirt mixed in.
But the campaign has gone so much farther than just brand re-design. We also supply Hat Tricks with all of their marketing material for special events, street team collateral, staff and customer apparel, promotional items and e-blasting.

While working under contract with a company based out of Addison, we were given the opportunity to take the lead on a project that was to last us just shy of six months. The client was a major power player in the multi-family housing industry and managed over 250 properties accross the country. What was requested was no simple task, but together, we interacted on a daily basis with our client and theirs.
The design was inspired by a company steeped in tradition and corporate fan fare. It was imortant to give them an online presence that said "We mean business..."
What we ended up with was a mass of corporate portals, property sites and intranets within those sites. The front end was pretty static, but the back end is where the money was spent. With access to a full database of properties, potential renters and investors alike could research in realtime available units, floor plans, photos and property and community information.
